NAMS Postgraduate Course

Prior to its 2006 Annual Meeting in Nashville, NAMS offered a Postgraduate CME Course, entitled “Understanding the Controversy: Hormone Testing & Bioidentical Hormones." This comprehensive course presented by experts in the field included:

  • “Regulatory Issues of Compounding Drugs” by Bruce Patsner, MD, JD
  • “Compounding Practices and Controversies” by Loyd V. Allen, Jr., PhD, RPh
  • “Bioidentical versus Nonbioidentical Hormones” by Lila E. Nachtigall, MD
  • “Validation of Hormone Testing” by Robert T. Chatterton, Jr., PhD
  • “Selecting Bioidentical Hormone Therapy“ by John J. Vogel, DO
  • “Counseling Patients about Bioidentical Hormone Therapy” by Marcie K. Richardson, MD

The printed 32-page monograph published 3/07 presents the proceedings of the Postgraduate Course. Although written for healthcare professionals, consumers will find this monograph of interest as well. Printed copies may be obtained from NAMS for a nominal fee.
