Trainee Scholarships
The Menopause Society Thomas Clarkson/Leon Speroff Trainee Scholarships
In recognition of Dr. Thomas Clarkson and Dr. Leon Speroff, two outstanding luminaries in the field of menopause and midlife women’s health, one medical resident and DNP student will each receive up to $1,500 in travel reimbursement to attend the 2024 Annual Meeting. The Society will also provide a complimentary registration to each recipient to attend the main program.
Endowed Scholarships
The Menopause Society Irwin J Kerber Scholarship Endowment
This first member-initiated scholarship was established in 2012 by a generous endowment to the Society from Ralph J Turner, MD, FACOG, MSCP, to honor long-time member, Irwin J Kerber, MD, MSCP.
New for 2024, the scholarships were enhanced to provide two medical residents and one DNP student working in women’s health (total of 3) with:
- One-year (Jan-Dec) 2025 Society membership
- Complimentary registration to attend the main program of The Society’s 2024 Annual Meeting (either virtually or in-person)
- Up to $600 in travel reimbursement if attending the Annual Meeting in person
Awards and Prizes
The Menopause Society New Investigator Travel Awards
These awards recognize two investigators who have achieved their degree within the past 7 years. The award provides a complimentary registration to attend the main program of the 2024 Annual Meeting and funds for travel. Those who wish to be considered for a New Investigator Travel award must be the presenting author on the abstract they submit and indicate their interest when submitting their abstract for consideration online.
The NIH Office of Research on Women’s Health
New for 2024, two additional travel awards sponsored by the NIH Office of Research on Women’s Health will be available. These two travel awards will provide funding for registration to the main program of the 2024 Annual Meeting and funds for travel. Individuals should be the first author on the abstract and indicate their interest when submitting their abstract for consideration online.
Poster Prizes
Abstracts submissions that are accepted for poster presentation during the 2024 Annual Meeting will be eligible for one of the poster prizes to be awarded, with a top prize of $1,000.
The Menopause Society Lippincott Williams & Wilkins Best Paper of the Year Award
This award recognizes the best paper from the previous year as selected by Dr. Isaac Schiff, Editor-in-Chief of Menopause. The award provides a complimentary registration to attend the main program of the 2024 Annual Meeting.
