The North American Menopause Society (NAMS) offers three activities in conjunction with the 2009 Annual Meeting that require registration:

2. Annual Meeting

Member Discount

NAMS offers significant discounts on registration fees for the Pre-Meeting Symposium and Annual Meeting to those who are current members of the Society. Join now and save!

In-Training Discount

Discounts are offered on registration fees for the Pre-Meeting Symposium and Annual Meeting for those in training. “In training” is defined as those full-time students, residents, and fellows at a university or other tertiary educational institution. In-training registrants are entitled to the same privileges as other participants. To receive the special registration fee, a signature of the Department Head is required on the registration form.

Hotel-Related Discount

Those registering for the Annual Meeting who book accommodations at the site of the Annual Meeting, the Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel, receive a discounted registration fee. This discount is provided so that NAMS can meet its contract obligations with the Hyatt, avoiding significant financial penalties which could reach $100,000 or more. This plan ultimately permits NAMS to continue to maintain an affordable registration fee.

Hotel reservations will be verified for those who select the discounted rate; anyone not staying at the Hyatt will automatically be charged the difference between the regular rate and the discounted rate after the meeting. Those residing within 75 miles of the Hyatt are not required to stay at the Hyatt to receive the discounted registration rate.

Saving on the registration fee is only one reason to stay at the Hyatt. Networking with your colleagues will be easier, you’ll have easy and quick access to your hotel room throughout the day, you’ll save in transportation fees getting to the Hyatt—and you may be able to sleep a little later each morning!
