How to Advertise in Menopause & Provide Other Industry Support
NAMS encourages industry to support its official journal—and the Society’s
mission—through the following:
Advertising
Menopause is a “must buy” for all advertisers in the field. For display and classified advertising information, contact the publisher’s Ad Sales Representative (Renee Artuso; 516/741-1722) or download the current Rate Card.

Journal Minder®
Your ad can be printed as an insert that includes a useful tear-off bookmark for readers. The heavy cover stock ensures the book will break at the ad, and readers will continue to see your message every time they mark their page. For details, including costs, contact Renee Artuso at 516/741-1722.
Submitting Industry-Funded Research Manuscripts
NAMS encourages and appreciates receipt of the leading menopause-related research papers that are supported by industry funding. Available editorial pages per issue have been expanded significantly, allowing for more rapid publication of the increased numbers of top quality papers that have been submitted and accepted. Contact the journal’s Managing Editor (Diane Barker; 617/724-1372) or download the current instructions for authors.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS
Purchase of Reprints
Bulk reprints of a paper relating to your products or services are a valuable tool for communicating with your constituencies. The publisher is able to repackage papers to include company logos, advertising, or further product information. Contact the publisher’s Director of Sales (Joan Airey; 215/521-8474).
Personal Subscriptions
Industry personnel (eg, marketing, professional relations, ad agency support staff, PR agency support staff) are encouraged to join NAMS to receive a complimentary subscription to Menopause, among other benefits. The annual membership fee is just a few dollars more than an annual subscription and includes other NAMS membership benefits.
Sponsorship of Complimentary Subscriptions
Sales representatives, medical research assistants monitoring clinical trials, and audiences such as family physicians and pharmacists would benefit from a complimentary subscription to Menopause. Contact Joan Airey at 215/521-8474 to discuss pricing and packaging that is in line with current industry guidelines.
Sponsorship of Patient Education Tablet (PET)
A tablet of one-page patient education sheets on a single menopause-related topic is wrapped with a cover that is designed with elements of the Menopause cover. The inside front and back covers of the wrap feature the sponsor's ad. The tablet is polybagged and mailed with a regular issue of Menopause. Over-runs are available for purchase for additional distribution beyond the circulation of the journal.
NAMS reviews and approves the content of the tablet. For details and prices, contact the publisher’s Ad Sales Representative (Renee Artuso; 516/741-1722).
Translations
Permission to translate articles published in Menopause may be obtained for a small fee by contacting Corey Eberhart at 410/528-4122.
Sponsorship of Journal Supplements/Special Issues
The current NAMS policy regarding journal supplements/special issues is that editorial must be original and developed by a Guest Editor and Editorial Board identified by the Editor-in-Chief and Board of Trustees. All content is subject to peer-review and other pertinent criteria prior to acceptance for publication. Supplement/special issue content does not represent NAMS consensus opinion but the views of the Guest Editor and Editorial Board. Advertising is not permitted. The grantor is acknowledged, as appropriate.
Industry is encouraged to provide grant funding to support additional supplements/special issues. Topics may be recommended for consideration. To request a custom proposal regarding these or other topics, contact Mary Nance (mary@menopause.org or 440/442-7845).
