Certification Maintenance Options

There are two options to maintain your Menopause Practitioner certification: by submitting the appropriate continuing education hours or by re-examination. To sit for the exam again, view complete information found in the Candidate Handbook.

To maintain your certification through continuing education, you must:

  • Meet the current eligibility requirements by holding a current license to practice in your field.
  • Provide proof that you have earned a total of 45 credit hours of continuing education related to midlife women's health from an accredited institution in the current maintenance period.
  • Provide proof that at least 15 of these 45 credit hours were awarded by The Menopause Society.
  • Submit a maintenance fee.

Maintenance applications are accepted between July and December. Information will be sent via email to those who are due to renew in a given year. Please be sure The Menopause Society has your current email address on file.
