Video Series-2018

The North American Menopause Society (NAMS) is proud of its comprehensive video series for clinicians about important midlife health topics. All interviews in the series are hosted by NAMS Board of Trustees Member and Immediate Past-President Dr. Marla Shapiro, a Canadian physician who led this exciting initiative. Dr. Shapiro is also a medical consultant for CTV News.

In this latest video, Gender Differences in Cardiovascular Disease, Dr. Shapiro interviews Dr. Beth Abramson, Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto. She is Director of Cardiac Prevention and Rehabilitation Centre and Women’s Cardiovascular Health in the Division of Cardiology at St. Michael’s Hospital. Dr. Abramson discusses the increase in cardiovascular risk factors for women at midlife, cardiovascular disease prevention, the effects of estrogen on the heart, and when and why to use aspirin.

Additional videos will be posted monthly.

A companion video for your patients is also available.
