Criteria for Linking to a Website

Although NAMS carefully selects websites for review, being linked from the NAMS site does not imply that the Society subscribes to all the content included in a site. In particular, NAMS does not endorse any specific product or service. Also, the absence of a site as a NAMS link does not imply disapproval by the Society.

  • The site must contain accurate, current information that is updated at least annually.
  • The site’s content should be within the scope of menopause and those issues of concern for midlife women. Sites may include such topics as smoking, diet, stress, etc.
  • The format should be user friendly, not just for healthcare providers or researchers, although the site does not need to have a consumer section.
  • Sites belonging to an individual practitioner and those offering (advertising) products other than information will not be considered for review. However, sites may offer valuable health-related products, such as health newsletters, educational materials, and reading materials.
  • Sites meeting all the above criteria will not be eliminated because they have a chat room.

Recommend a Site for Linking
