Since its inception at The New York Academy of Sciences in 1989, The North American Menopause Society (NAMS) has held an annual scientific meeting that is consistently considered one of the top meetings in women’s health. And the 2010 NAMS Annual Meeting will be no exception.
“Transition & Change: The Future Is Upon Us”
- This year’s comprehensive scientific program is outstanding. The world’s experts in menopause and women’s health will discuss key topics that focus on the latest research and interpretations of findings for clinical application. Register soon!
- The pre-meeting session “Abnormal Uterine Bleeding” is planned for 8:00 AM-2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 6. Separate registration fee is required. These sessions sell out every year and space is limited. You are strongly encouraged to register as soon as possible.
- “We promise you cutting-edge science and clinical pearls that you can put into practice immediately. In addition, Chicago will provide an exciting backdrop to complement your learning experience,” says Dr. Steven Goldstein, Chair of the Scientific Program Committee.

The 21st Annual Meeting opens at 4:30 PM on Wednesday, October 6, and closes at 12:30 PM on Saturday, October 9. There are many professional and networking opportunities before, during, and after the meeting.

- Take advantage of your attendance at the Annual Meeting to also become a NAMS Certified Menopause Practitioner (NCMP) if you have not already done so. The competency exam leading to certification will be administered from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Wednesday, October 6, at the meeting hotel. Register for the exam by August 1 (late registration deadline of September 1 requires an additional $75 late processing fee).
- NAMS President, Dr. Cynthia Stuenkel, invites you and your registered guests to the President’s Reception Wednesday evening.
- Visit the research posters and exhibitors at a special reception in the Exhibit Hall Thursday evening.
All registered commercial supporters are cordially invited to attend all scientific sessions as a full participant of the meeting.
- The top medical thought leaders, decision makers, and influential educators in the field of menopause and women’s health are expected to attend—many of whom do not see professional sales representatives anywhere else.
- Past NAMS meeting evaluations indicate that attendees consider the commercial exhibits to be an integral part of the meeting and their learning experience.
- Hear firsthand their requirements and concerns so you can provide them with the best options.
- Build rapport and expand existing relationships with your customers—and develop new ones.
- Take advantage of unopposed time for meeting participants to visit the Exhibit Hall.
- The Exhibit Hall is one of the best attended of all exhibit opportunities in women’s health.
Submit your Exhibit Application early to guarantee a great location at the best price.
- Many meeting-related sponsorships are available. For more information, contact Mary Nance (mary@menopause.org or 440-442-7845).
- For additional exposure, consider advertising in the Annual Meeting publication, NAMS Daily News. The first issue of the daily is included in the attendee briefcases. The Thursday and Friday issues are handed directly to meeting attendees as they enter the session in the morning.
Networking with experts is always incredibly valuable and this year’s meeting offers even more opportunity for media access.
- Media representatives are encouraged to download the Press Kit for a comprehensive review of the media opportunities at the NAMS Annual Meeting.
