About The North American Menopause Society Foundation

NAMS is pleased to announce the formation of The North American Menopause Society Foundation as a philanthropic supporting organization to NAMS. The Mission of the Foundation is to develop and execute fundraising initiatives to support NAMS in its objectives of promoting the health and quality of life of women through an understanding of menopause.

The formation of the Foundation will enable NAMS to focus its initiatives exclusively on scientific education endeavors and allow the Foundation to concentrate on raising monies to support those endeavors.

Operating as a 501(c)(3) public charity of the Internal Revenue Code, all contributions to the Foundation will be income-tax deductible to the extent of the law. Donors will be assured that their contributions will only be used to support the education endeavors of the Society.

Contributions from individuals, family foundations, corporations, and foundations can be accepted by the Foundation and designated for the unrestricted allocation by the Foundation Board or for the establishment of named endowment or special purpose funds as desired by the donors.

Grants in support of continuing education activities for health professionals will continue to be accepted by NAMS, not the Foundation, as NAMS is the organization that is accredited to develop such activities.

For assistance in making gifts of cash, appreciated securities or other property including real estate, life insurance or tax-deferred retirement accounts, contact Pamela P. Boggs, MBA, NAMS Director of Education and Development.
