NAMS CME


The North American Menopause Society (NAMS) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. With NAMS education, you can earn the CME credits that you need in your state and for your specialty as well as to maintain your NAMS Certified Menopause Practitioner (NCMP) status. NAMS awards AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ to physicians and certificates of participation to others, with the number of pharmacotherapeutics hours specified on many NAMS programs.

The NAMS Medical Director, Editor-in-Chief of Menopause, and all staff planners and reviewers may not and do not have any relevant financial relationships with commercial interests to disclose with regard to the Society’s accredited continuing education projects and programs.

CME MISSION STATEMENT

2023 Annual Meeting OnDemand

The 2023 Annual Meeting (September 27-30, 2023) is available virtually again this year, the Annual Meeting OnDemand provides a convenient, easy-to-use avenue to access the content on your on schedule. Access includes the Opening Symposium and the 11 Plenary Symposia and special lectures, and the Menopause 101 and Medical Breast and Genetics 101 Courses (separate registrations) that were presented at the 2023 Annual Meeting. The Menopause 101 course offers a maximum of 4.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ and 2.0 pharmacotherapeutic hours are also available. The Medical Breast and Genetics course offers a maximum of 3.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ and 1.0 pharmacotherapeutic hours are also available. The Annual Meeting and Opening Symposium offer a maximum of 22.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ 11.0 pharmacotherapeutic hours are also available. CME credit is available until September 25, 2024.

Menopause Practice: A Clinician's Guide, 6th ed.

Practice Pearls

NAMS members may earn continuing medical education (CME) credits or certificates of participation for reading Practice Pearls and successfully completing brief post-tests and evaluations. Practice Pearls is a series of clinical overviews and perspectives that tackle challenging problems in the care of women at midlife and beyond. Each Practice Pearl will offer CME credit and, depending on content, pharmacotherapeutics hours. Practice Pearls CME credits are available for 1 year after the release date.

NAMS members may participate in this activity online and access their certificate immediately. Members please log in, then go to your Online CME.
 


Position Statements

NAMS members may also earn continuing medical education (CME) credits or certificates of participation for reading Position Statements and successfully completing brief post-tests and evaluations. NAMS develops Position Statements about clinical issues pertinent to women at midlife and beyond and provides accompanying PowerPoint slide sets summarizing the paper’s contents—available free of charge only to members. Position Statement topics have included Hormone Therapy, Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause, and Osteoporosis. Each Position Statement will offer CME credit and, depending on content, pharmacotherapeutics hours.
