The NCMP certification is valid for a period of three years. For example, if you received your certification at any time during calendar year 2007, you have through December 31, 2010, to maintain it. The expiration year is listed on your certificate. If you no longer have your certificate and do not know your expiration year, email NAMS Outreach & Communications Manager or call 440/442-7845.

There are two options to maintain your Menopause Practitioner certification: by submitting the appropriate continuing education hours or by re-examination. To sit for the exam again, view complete information found in the Candidate Handbook.
To maintain your certification through continuing education, you will be required to provide proof that you have earned a total of 45 credit hours between the date you received your certification and the date of your certification expiration. Of these 45 hours, 30 must have been awarded by NAMS.
There are several ways to earn NAMS credits. Find more information and a list of available activities here.
