The North American Menopause Society (NAMS) is pleased to announce the recipients of the Society's 2007 awards that recognize outstanding contributions to the field of women's health and menopause. Recipients will be acknowledged during the NAMS 18th Annual Meeting, in Dallas, TX on October 3-6, 2007. NAMS appreciates the generous financial support of industry which has made many of these awards possible.
Awards were presented to nine individuals recognizing their clinical contributions or scientific investigation. Recognition was also given to an outstanding media professional, four new investigators for their abstract submissions to the Annual Meeting, and nine certified nurse midwives, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners. In addition, the NAMS Board of Trustees funded four In-Training Travel Awards for full-time students, residents, or fellows at a university or other tertiary educational institution who demonstrated an interest in menopause and women’s health.
