Submission Guidelines

Abstracts must be submitted using this online form.

ONLINE FORM
The deadline for regular submission is April 30, 2021. The deadline for late-breaking submission is July 1, 2021. Guidelines follow:

  • Each author may submit up to five abstracts for consideration.

  • All abstracts presented at the NAMS Annual Meeting will be published in Menopause.
  • NAMS reserves the right not to review an abstract, or not to publish an abstract in Menopause, if the abstract submission does not conform to all requirements.
  • Abstracts must be submitted in English, in a structured format.
  • Late-breaking submissions must be truly late-breaking, meaning the material was not available for submission by the regular deadline of April 30, 2021.

How strong are the research methods with respect to selection of participants (inclusion/exclusion) and procedures used to assess outcome measures? Is the analytic approach appropriate to the study goals? Do the study conclusions flow from the results? Are study limitations recognized?

Innovation: Does the project challenge and shift current research or clinical practice paradigms by utilizing novel theoretical concepts, approaches or methodologies, instrumentation or interventions?

Impact of Study: Does the project address an important problem or a critical barrier to progress in the field of women's health at midlife and beyond? Does the project improve scientific knowledge, technical capability and/or clinical practice? Does the project change the concepts, methods technologies, treatments, services, or preventative interventions that drive the field of women's health at midlife and beyond?

Clarity: Is the research study presented in a clear and easily understandable manner? Are the goals of the science, the findings, and the interpretation readily accessible to the audience?
