“Hot Flashes—The Hallmark of Menopause: Personalizing Treatment in 2014”

Join us on Wednesday, October 15, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM as we kick off the 2014 NAMS 25th Annual Meeting with the Pre-Meeting Symposium “Hot Flashes—The Hallmark of Menopause: Personalizing Treatment in 2014.” This symposium will focus on the etiology, epidemiology, and treatment of hot flashes. Presentations will include discussions of the mechanisms, metabolic consequences, global and cultural differences, the latest in treatment options including behavioral/complementary, hormonal, and nonhormonal (SSRIs/SNRIs/gabapentin/others), how to decide among the options, and case vignettes on special populations and clinical challenges. The 25th Anniversary Reception

Unwind in an entertaining atmosphere filled with music, cocktails, and hors d’oeuvres. NAMS President Dr. Jan Shifren invites you and your registered guest to a special 25th Anniversary Reception on Wednesday evening, October 15.

Research Poster Reception and NAMS Exhibits

Learn about some of the latest medical studies and about new products on the market by attending the Research Poster Reception and visiting the NAMS Exhibits. A special reception is being hosted in the Exhibit Hall on Thursday evening, October 16.

25th Anniversary Donor Event 

A special 25th Anniversary Donor Event will be held on Thursday, October 16. This event is open to donors of $250 or more and will be held from 7:15 PM – 8:45 PM in the hotel’s 18th floor rooftop venue, Pose. Celebrate this NAMS milestone at this special reception complete with live entertainment. More details to come!

NCMP Certification

Signal to the world that you are a menopause specialist by becoming a NAMS Certified Menopause Practitioner (NCMP). The competency exam leading to this prestigious credential will be administered from 2:00-4:00 PM on Wednesday, October 15, at the hotel—so that you can be on your way to meeting a new standard of care at the same time you’re attending the NAMS Annual Meeting.
