Thanks to a 24-member Project Team from the NAMS Professional and Consumer Education Committees, the Recommended Web Sites section within the NAMS Web site has been updated. A total of 188 Web sites (115 current and 73 potential) were reviewed, resulting in links to 119 recommended sites (19 new) that cover
21 topics and 5 categories. There�s also a new topic indexing system that makes it easier to find what you�re looking for. Check it out!

World Menopause Day
Menopause Awareness Month (September, as per the US Congress) and World Menopause Day (October 18, as per CAMS and WHO) are opportunities for patient education!
NAMS and Its Mexican Constituency
NAMS is serious regarding its responsibilities as The North American Menopause Society. Recent outreach to our constituents in Mexico included collaborating with (1) the Colegio Mexicano de Estudios del Climaterio (COMEC) in presenting a session on
July 18 at its 6th Mexican Congress in Ixtapa and (2) the Asociaci�n Mexicana para el Estudio del Climaterio (AMEC) in providing the NAMS textbook in Spanish for AMEC members, participating in two sessions at a dual NAMS-AMEC conference in Mexico City on August 29-30, and offering the NAMS Menopause Practitioner competency examination the same day. Mexico is also represented on several NAMS committees and the Menopause Editorial Board. Miramos adelante a una relaci�n larga y fructuosa con nuestras contrapartes mexicanas.
